About the Role We are seeking a full-timeLogistics Officer based in our office in Christchurch. This role will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient management of our logistics operations and the smooth running of our office environment. This position requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Coordinate domestic and international freight and shipping requirements. Prepare, check and maintain shipping and export documentation. Coordinate Certificates of Origin (COOs), Export Declarations (EDs) and other export documentation. Organise documentation associated with customer orders, pickups and deliveries. Liaise with freight providers, customers, warehouse staff and internal teams. Keep customers updated on orders, shipping arrangements and any changes or delays. Maintain accurate shipment, inventory and logistics records. Assist with freight pricing, quotes and transport arrangements. Assist the compliance team with documentation, records, data entry and general administration. Monitor shared inboxes and ensure requests and issues are followed up. Assist with general office administration and provide support across the wider team as required. Experience with Animal products would be beneficial. About You We are looking for someone who has: Previous logistics, freight, export or supply chain administration experience. Experience with international freight and export documentation, including COOs and EDs, would be highly advantageous. Must be process orientated and able to follow guidance. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to getting information right. Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Confidence communicating with customers, freight providers and internal teams. Good Microsoft Office skills and confidence learning different systems. A practical, organised and solutions-focused approach. The ability to work independently while also being a strong team player. A willingness to help across different areas when workloads require it. This is a role where you can make a difference, but can be challenging, so must be able to prioritise, multi-task workloads effectively, whilst maintaining a high standard output.
