Tamahere Hospital and Healing Centre – Tamahere, North Island Positions available at Tamahere Hospital & Healing Centre, Kohi Maara Institute and/or Hinau Supported Living These roles are working alongside the therapeutic team supporting whanau/patients in either a joint or individual position. Casual, Part time and Full time roles available. Na u mai, hare mai ki Tamahere Hospital and Healing Centre Tamahere Hospital and Healing Centre, sited on 15 acres of culturally historic whenua in the heart of Ngaati Haua between Cambridge and Hamilton. We are looking for people who have a strong interest in providing support either at Tamahere Hospital, Kohi Maara Institute or Hinau Supported Living or a combination of roles. The casual and part time roles have been designed to attract mature people who may be in tertiary study or looking for additional work alongside a full time job and the full time roles have been designed to offer a career pathway for those wanting to work in the health landscape. Tamahere Hospital and Healing Centre is a 24 hour fully staffed minimum secure forensic inpatient facility, that has a strong tikanga Maori based Kaupapa. This role will work alongside our Kohi Maara Kaupapa Maaori therapeutic day programme. If you are confidentin te reo Maori, waiata, motetea, musicand kapa haka tona mai. This role of Pou Raranga (Therapeutic Coordinator) is a fulfilling and important position that requires someone prepared to work alongside the clinical team supporting whaanau/patients. On any given day you may: Support whanau/patients in accordance with their wellness plan Work under direction of registered nurse and work with a team of others on shift Work alongside clinicians, Patients /whanau and their extended family to help patients/whanauto achieve their goals Shift Patterns: Day shift: 8am - 4pm - 7 days a week Evening: 4pm - 12pm or 2pm to 10pm - 7 days a week. Kohi Maara Institute is a Therapeutic day program which runs daily out of Tamahere Hospital and Healing Centre which is a 24 hour fully staffed minimum secure forensic inpatient facility, that has a strong tikanga Maori based Kaupapa. Day shifts: 8am to 2.30pm or can extend to 4pm On any given day you may: Support whanau in accordance with their wellness plan Work under direction of registered nurse and work with a team of others on shift Work alongside clinicians, whanau and their extended family to help whanauto achieve their goals Hinau Supported Living is our supported accommodation facility located in Hamilton East. This role of Pou Raranga | Therapeutic Coordinator requires someone to work independently after a full orientation is undertaken, and is a fulfilling and important position that requires someone prepared to work alongside the team supporting whanau | residents. Hinau has a 7 day work matrix. Day shifts: 7am – 3pm PM shifts: 3pm – 11pm On any given day you may: Support whanau in accordance with their wellness plan Work under direction of registered clinician Work alongside the clinical teams, residents and their extended family to help achieve their goals as set in treating plans Given the impact COVID-19 has had globally, as an essential service with vulnerable whanau/patientswe will require all new staff to be fully vaccinated. Evidence of this will be required.
