Jenny Oakley The Transformer Limited – Mount Pleasant, South Island We are offering a unique opportunity to join a small, highly-skilled team at the Gardens of Villa Toscana in Christchurch as a contracting Garden Assistant. The key services you would provide would include maintaining and caring for a beautiful, mature and large private property on the Port Hills, developed over 25 years, and which is now open for Garden Tours. We will require assistance Monday – Wednesday between the hours of 9.00am and 4.30pm, with some seasonal variation. Flexibility to provide additional services on other days would be very beneficial. What you will be doing You would assist with all general gardening needs in a botanically diverse and richly landscaped environment, alongside our knowledgeable and experienced team members. What we are looking for Has a strong inclination toward and enjoyment of nature, gardening and horticulture; with a cheerful enthusiastic disposition; Physically fit and able to manage hands-on tasks and hillside slopes; Holds a full driver’s license and has access to own motor vehicle; Is flexible and has great time management; Is organised, focused, and loves to work with a team; Has previous work or contracting experience in gardening and / or horticulture; Is experienced with the operation of power tools.
