Registered Nurse/Occupational Health

Precious People Marlborough - Blenheim, South Island Worklife Wellness is seeking a Registered Nurse/Occupational Health Nurse to join our team in Blenheim Central, Marlborough. This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in delivering high-quality occupational health services to our clients and their employees. As a Registered Nurse specialising in occupational health, you will be at the forefront of promoting workplace wellness, preventing occupational illness and injury, and supporting employees in maintaining their health and safety at work. This role is integral to our mission of creating healthier, safer workplaces across the Marlborough region. What you’ll be doing Conducting comprehensive workplace health assessments and risk evaluations to identify potential hazards and health risks Providing confidential health screening and health surveillance services to employees across various industries Delivering occupational health advice to employers, managers and employees on health-related workplace issues Managing employee health records and maintaining accurate documentation in compliance with privacy and data protection regulations Conducting pre-employment health assessments and fitness-to-work evaluations Providing first aid and emergency care when required in the workplace setting Liaising with external health professionals Developing and delivering health promotion and wellness initiatives to support employee wellbeing Maintaining professional knowledge of occupational health legislation, standards and best practice guidelines Contributing to the development and review of occupational health policies and procedures What we’re looking for Current registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand (or equivalent recognised nursing registration) Qualification or demonstrated expertise in occupational health nursing, or a willingness to obtain occupational health qualifications A minimum of 2-3 years' experience in a nursing role, preferably with occupational health exposure Strong knowledge of New Zealand workplace health and safety legislation, including the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with employees at all levels Proficiency in managing health information systems and electronic records Current First Aid qualification (or willingness to obtain one) Current vaccinator's certificate - desirable A proactive, professional approach to health and safety in the workplace The ability to work independently whilst maintaining collaborative relationships with colleagues and clients Commitment to continuing professional development and staying current with occupational health practice Desirable: experience in community health nursing or maternal and child health services What we offer Worklife Wellness is committed to supporting the health, safety and wellbeing of our employees.
