About the role We are seeking a Senior or Principal Transmission Lines Engineer to join our GridLinkx department from any of our New Zealand locations (Auckland/Christchurch/Wellington). This is a senior technical role within what we consider the strongest transmission line engineering leadership team in the Asia Pacific region. You will lead the structural design and delivery of high-voltage overhead transmission line projects, working across our Australian and New Zealand offices with flexibility on location. Key Responsibilities Lead structural and civil design of overhead transmission lines up to 500kV Drive technical delivery across planning, design, and construction phases Perform advanced modelling using PLS-CADD, PLS-TOWER, and PLS-POLE Provide technical guidance, quality assurance, and stakeholder engagement across major network projects Apply and interpret ANZ and international standards including AS/NZS 7000, ASCE 74, and ASCE 10 What You’ll Bring Bachelor’s Degree in relevant engineering discipline; CPEng preferred. Minimum 8 years' experience in transmission line design and delivery Advanced proficiency in PLS software suite Demonstrated experience in high-voltage tower and structure design (up to 500kV) Strong knowledge of Australian and New Zealand Transmission standards and NSP requirements A senior role within ANZ pre-eminent transmission line engineering team Long-term pipeline of landmark national projects Flexible work arrangements across our Australian and New Zealand offices Structured career progression and access to industry-leading tools Competitive remuneration package Successful candidates will be required to complete a medical assessment and provide a police clearance.
