Gaming Machine Distributors Ltd (GMD) is looking for a motivated and reliable Electronic Gaming Technician to join our growing technical team based in DUNEDIN. This is a hands-on role responsible for the installation, servicing, maintenance, and repair of electronic gaming machines (EGMs) across Christchurch/Mid-Canterbury. You will work both independently and as part of a highly experienced team, providing exceptional technical support and customer service to our venue partners. Key responsibilities As an Electronic Gaming Technician, you will: Diagnose and repair faults in electronic gaming machines, including hardware, software, and electrical components. Install new gaming machines and associated equipment at customer venues. Perform Monthly Preventative Maintenance (MPM), inspections, testing, and servicing of gaming equipment. Respond promptly to service calls and resolve technical issues efficiently. Build and maintain strong working relationships with customers through excellent customer service. Coordinate with fellow technicians and report directly to the Service Manager. Communicate effectively with the technical team via email and phone. Order, replace, and manage spare parts required for repairs. Maintain accurate service reports and documentation for all work completed. Participate in an on-call roster and occasional after-hours work when required. About you A qualification in Electronics, Computer Systems, or any related technical field. Experience repairing electronic equipment. Experience with gaming machines, hospitality equipment, vending machines, EFTPOS systems, or similar electronic devices is highly desirable but not essential. Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills. The ability to work independently while also contributing positively within a team. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Good computer literacy and the ability to complete electronic service reports. Strong organisational and time management skills. A Full New Zealand driver's licence.
