OSCAR Programme Supervisor

Are you passionate about working with children and creating a fun, safe, and engaging environment? This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll be responsible for the day-to-day running of our OSCAR programme, ensuring children are safe, engaged, and having fun. You'll lead a small team, manage operations, and help deliver high-quality care and activities. Key responsibilities Ensure the smooth daily running of the programme Ensure the safety and wellbeing of children and staff at all times Create a fun, inclusive environment that supports children's developmental needs Build positive relationships with children, parents and staff Be responsible for employing staff and ensuring they are well equipped and supported to undertake their duties to a high standard Ensure compliance with the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 Have a full First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain) Ensure compliance with Level 3 Social Service Accreditation Standards Undertake all daily administrative requirements e.g. attendance, bookings, absences Assist with all financial administration including, payroll, banking and maintaining accurate records Be responsible for planning and delivery of all programmes. About you Experienced in working with school aged children with an excellent understanding of child developmental needs A confident leader with staff supervision experience Passionate about supporting children and families Highly organised with strong administrative skills A great communicator with strong interpersonal skills Able to work independently and as part of a team Calm, reliable, and solutions-focused Committed to Te Tiriti O Waitangi and inclusive practise Has a sense of fun with a positive, energetic attitude Tertiary qualifications in education, childcare, or recreation are an advantage Police vetted and safety checked as part of the employment process About us Greenmeadows School OSCAR Programme, Napier.
