We have a very exciting and unique opportunity for a talented and keen Restaurant Manager who understands how to support a busy, award winning venue. Located inthe historic Archer's Cottage with spectacular lake views and signature roaring log fires inside and out, Botswana Butchery is one of Queenstown's most stylish and busiest restaurants having recently been awarded a Cuisine Good Food Award Chefs Hat. Do you have a successful track record for managing premium high volume restaurants and who has a passion for delivering customer experiences second to none? Do you have an enthusiastic, energetic attitude and have a goal to grow in your hospitality career and consistently work towards new and exciting opportunities? The right candidate will have exceptional communication skills, run a tight ship and know how to create and maintain 'The Dream Team'. Working closely with the Venue Manager and senior management team of Botswana Butchery, you will support theday to day operations of the business to maximise the growth and potential of this thriving business. The successful applicant will have: Must have current General Manager's Certificate. Must have 2 years of experience. Demonstrated experience in senior hospitality roles including large scale restaurants. Proven experience in staff leadership, training and development. Excellent business management skills. Must have sound business financial understanding. Strong interpersonal skills. The ability to work calmly over pressure. "Can do" attitude, ready to face a busy service head on leading a strong team. Experience in performance analysis, reporting and strategy development. Excellent decision making skills and a can do approach to work. NZ work rights essential Some duties will include (but not limited to): Help to achieve top-line sales in line with daily, weekly, annual budgets. Carefully manage stock so variances are minimised and staff are held accountable. Maintain wage costs in line or below budget using good rostering & shift controlPlanning, organising and exceuting special functions. Controlling GP%, including stocktakes. Assist in recruitment of new staff and take pride in building an A team of hospitality professionals. Ensure the establishment is clean and tidy at all times with appropriate ambience. This is a challenging and rewarding role and an exciting opportunity to become part of a leading hospitality group.
