Sawaddee Massage Limited is a local Thai Massage business in Nelson. We are looking for experienced Thai Massage Therapists to join our team. Requirements At least 2 years of experience working in an authentic Thai Massage business, OR A related qualification (at NZ Register Certificate level 4 or higher, overseas qualifications must be comparable to the standard of the New Zealand qualification), OR The National Skill Standard Testing Level 1 (Traditional Thai Massage) from Thailand Job Descriptions Client Assessment & Treatment Planning Assess clients' physical condition, symptoms, and relevant medical history to determine appropriate massage treatment options. Identify muscular tension, soft-tissue issues, and areas requiring therapeutic focus, and develop tailored treatment plans. Therapeutic Massage Delivery Provide massage treatments aimed at promoting relaxation, improving circulation, alleviating muscular tension, and supporting rehabilitation. Apply traditional Thai massage techniques, including assisted stretching, pressure point work, rhythmic compression, and joint mobilisation. Soft-Tissue Therapy & Rehabilitation Support Target muscles, tendons, and ligaments to relieve discomfort and improve functional movement. Offer post-treatment advice on stretching, relaxation techniques, and home-care routines to support ongoing recovery. Use of Complementary Therapies Incorporate complementary therapeutic tools such as herbal or mineral compresses, essential oils, balms, heat therapy, and infrared treatments to enhance treatment outcomes. Recommend supportive treatments that may assist clients' wellbeing and recovery process. Client Care, Hygiene & Professional Standards Maintain accurate client records, including assessments, treatment notes, and follow-up recommendations. Adhere to professional hygiene, health, and safety standards within the clinic environment. Provide a calm, respectful, and supportive atmosphere for all clients. This is a full-time and permanent position Wage payment is between $28 and $35 per hour, depending on your skills and experience, and you will be paid weekly Holiday pay and sick leave will be paid according to the law You will be working at 233 Queen Street, Richmond, Nelson You will be working between 9:30 am and 7:00 pm according to a roster, 5-6 days each week, with a guaranteed minimum of 30 hours and a maximum of 48 hours per week.
