Courier Driver - Employee of Lincoln NZ Post Provincial Contractor We are contractors to New Zealand Post delivering NZ Post courier and mail items to the ever-growing township of Lincoln. Our team consists of amazing posties, fabulous mail-sorters and we need another incredible courier. As part of our courier team, you'll play an important part in supporting the growth and further development of the Lincoln area, working within a positive team as part of a truly essential service. You'll need to be customer focused, organised and reliable. Flexibility and honesty are key, teamed with an equally strong work ethic. We are looking for a permanent courier who can fulfill a minimum of approx. 30hrs per week plus a Saturday on a shared cycle. Weekly hours can exceed this due to variable freight volumes and planned/unplanned absence cover for other team-members. Additional earning capacity exists for previous driving/courier experience. Your day starts bright and early, sorting and prioritising freight into the van at the Airport based depot, then onto deliveries to commercial and residential addresses within Lincoln Township. Parcel pick-ups are also a key component of our business. Further necessary attributes are; Good co-ordination and general awareness skills Strong communication ability with team-mates and customer services inquiries An ability to work at pace, and lift up to 25kgs Permanent work rights in NZ, with no restrictions A full, clean New Zealand Driver License, or equivalent Ability to drive both manual and automatic vehicles would be an advantage, but not essential Ability to work within the required New Zealand Post Health and Safety protocols, including an acceptable pre-employment drug and alcohol testing result Completion of the relevant Ministry of Justice / Prior-conviction vetting, with an acceptable result Skills and experience: Previous industry experience would be an advantage, but certainly not a requirement.
