We're looking for someone who shares that belief and can turn it into business. As our Sustainable Wood Specialist, you'll win new customers and grow existing ones by helping them understand the environmental benefits of wood and giving them compelling reasons to choose it over steel, concrete and plastic. Working alongside customers, industry partners and the wider Goldpine team, you'll champion the sustainable wood story and shift how outdoor timber is understood and used across New Zealand. The brief is deliberately broad. The markets we target will shift over time, so one month you might be in a woolshed and the next in a council boardroom. If you enjoy connecting with people, love turning ideas into practical conversations and get satisfaction from winning the business at the end of them, we'd love to hear from you. What you'll be doing Identify and win new customers across whichever markets we're targeting, building and working a pipeline of accounts. Build strong relationships with farmers, growers, vineyard managers, contractors, councils and industry stakeholders. Deliver engaging presentations that bring the sustainable wood story to life and move customers toward choosing wood. Visit customers across New Zealand to understand their challenges and recommend practical timber solutions. Grow existing accounts by widening the range of products and applications they use. Host key decision makers on tours through our Golden Downs production plant. Support and coach Goldpine's sales teams to confidently communicate the sustainability benefits of wood. Represent Goldpine at industry events while sharing customer insights to help shape future strategy. About you You're someone who genuinely enjoys connecting with people. People remember you because you listen well, communicate clearly and leave them with a new perspective. You're also comfortable asking for the business. You'll need: Proven experience in business development, account management or field sales, with a record of winning new business. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Confidence engaging with everyone from our frontline team members through to business owners and decision makers. Genuine belief in wood as a product, and the confidence to make its case without hesitation. The ability to walk into an unfamiliar industry, learn it fast and earn credibility with its decision makers. Curiosity and a desire to continually learn. The ability to work independently against targets while collaborating closely with a wider team. A full New Zealand driver's licence and willingness to travel regularly. Experience in agriculture, forestry, construction, infrastructure or local government would be useful, as would knowledge of sustainability and carbon. Neither is essential. We'll teach you the wood story, the research and the product. What we can't teach is commercial drive and genuine belief in what you're selling. Why Goldpine?
