Operator/Labourer

We are seeking an Operator/Labourer to join our dedicated team at Te Anau Earthworks Ltd in Te Anau, Southland. This is a full-time position where you will be responsible for operating various construction equipment and assisting with a range of hands‑on labouring tasks. Your role will be crucial in supporting the successful delivery of our earthworks and construction projects. What you'll be doing Operating a range of excavators Operate power tools and small machines (such as compactors, breakers and saws) in a safe and appropriate manner Performing general labouring duties including site preparation, landscaping, and material handling Assisting with the maintenance and upkeep of construction equipment Ensuring all work is carried out in a safe and efficient manner, meeting health & safety regulations Collaborating with the wider team to complete projects on time and to a high standard Completing daily timesheets What we're looking for Experience operating excavators Ability to work effectively as part of a team as well as independently Good communication and problem-solving skills Commitment to safety and a strong work ethic Positive attitude and willingness to learn What we offer At Te Anau Earthworks Ltd, we are dedicated to providing a supportive and rewarding work environment for our employees.
