About the role: We're a busy family in a sunny, private home in Wadestown, close to town, looking for an experienced, capable Household Manager to help us keep our household running smoothly. We need someone with real-life experience running a home, who takes genuine pride and ownership in a well-run household and enjoys being part of a family's daily rhythm. You would be a calm, organised person who can be the extra support and trusted pair of hands we would like. You provide a safe and savvy presence for our two children, keeping the afternoons and early evenings on track, and helping two working parents keep the wheels turning. What we need you for: KIDS: Isaac (14) and Rita (10) are good company, self-sufficient, and easy to be around. You'll be a steady, welcome presence for them, helping with shuttling to a from after-school activities, providing homework reminders and supporting their daily goings on. KITCHEN: You would be happy preparing simple, wholesome afternoon and evening meals. We love different influences in the kitchen and have our own favourites too if that makes it easy. HOUSEHOLD: There is an always on general to-do list, e.g. laundry, vacuum and tidying, errands, and keeping the household ticking over. Your help moving it all along and having initiative on tasks is at the essence of the job. Details of the job: This would be approx. 12–15 hours per week, across 3 days. Hours would be typically early/mid-afternoon, through school pickup, to early evening Occasional extra hours when needed, and school holiday work available if you'd like it It is essential you have your own car and full driver's licence required — weekly mileage paid for all trips with the kids or errands run We have two cats - Casper and Luna, brother and sister. They are easy going, affectionate and often found fast asleep in the sun. Our home is sunny and warm, and central to the city. Who we are looking for: We're after someone with genuine experience running a household — positive, energetic, and full of initiative.
