South Island Territory Manager, Medical Devices A well-established South Island territory, with real relationships already in place, is looking for its next owner. This is a NZ-owned medical devices distributor: small team, high trust, no red tape. Clinicians rate them for being easy to deal with. Internally, good work gets noticed and rewarded. The role You’ll take over a territory that’s already performing: hospitals, procurement, clinicians, existing pipeline. Your job is to build on it, deepen relationships, spot the next opportunity, and keep the momentum going. Sales support handles the admin so you can stay focused on the field. Who this suits Territory-based B2B or technical sales experience: medical device, animal health, diagnostics/lab equipment, hospital capital equipment, specialty or hospital pharma, or technical industrial sales. You’ve managed accounts over a real sales cycle, not just transactional selling, and you’re driven by growing a patch and hitting targets. Not a fit if you’re clinical rather than commercial, or if what you love is the clinical side itself, theatre, education, patient outcomes. This role is sales-led. Fit matters as much as experience This works best for someone who owns their patch properly, follows through without being chased, and cares about getting the detail right rather than just closing the sale. You’ll move at pace and back yourself to get on with things, but you’re also genuinely easy to work alongside: quick to help, quick to own it if something’s gone wrong. Driven, but not precious about it.
