Jora New Zealand will close on 9th September 2026. Thank you for being with us, we are cheering you on as you continue your career journey. Christian Watson – North East Valley, South Island Would you like to support someone to live an independent and meaningful life? For years, not months. We are a family who look after our staff, so they can look after our loved one of 50+ years, in his own home. While this role does not require you to undertake personal cares, it does require you to be patient, calm, respectful, creative, and interesting. You will be helping by doing domestic chores including cooking and cleaning, driving him to appointments, and supporting him socially. Every second weekend, 18 hours: Fridays 5- 8pm. Also 5- 8pm on Mondays following the weekend. Saturdays and Sundays 1- 4pm and 6- 9pm. Sometimes hours will vary. Casual shifts are available at other times. Commence every second weekend on 20 November, but you will be paid to train in the Saturday and Sunday shifts on 19 and 20 September. After that, work at least two casual shifts each fortnight until 20 November, 5- 8pm. Those casual shifts would be on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday, when other staff are on leave. Work continues over summer, but in future, by the end of the year, you could have at least two weekends of annual leave owing. There will likely be work available on statutory holidays. Start on $33/hour. We provide a happy workplace, and give full guidance and support. Dinner is provided on evening shifts #J-18808-Ljbffr
