Clarence Hospitality Group – Tauranga, North Island As our new Chef de Partie, you will be responsible for: Leading and managing your designated kitchen section, ensuring efficient workflow, consistency, quality and presentation. Preparing, cooking and presenting high-quality dishes to the standards expected at Clarence. Monitoring and coordinating activities within your section to ensure service standards are consistently achieved. Supporting, guiding and assisting junior kitchen team members while fostering a positive team culture focused on excellence. Assisting with menu development and contributing ideas for new dishes and specials. Maintaining high standards of food safety, cleanliness and organisation within your section. Contributing to the overall efficiency and success of the kitchen through effective communication, teamwork and continuous improvement. For the right person, we offer: Competitive hourly rate of $30.00/hr. A guaranteed minimum of 40 hours per week, with an average of 45–50 hours per week. To be successful in this role, you will have: Relevant cookery qualification and/or at least 2 years' relevant experience in a professional commercial kitchen suitable for a Chef de Partie (Section Leader) role. A genuine passion for great food and a commitment to quality. Pizza-making experience is highly desirable. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Strong organisational and time management skills. The ability to lead a kitchen section and perform well under pressure. A sound understanding of food safety and hygiene. A positive, professional and team-focused attitude. Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends.
