Sales and Estimation Manager – Southern Region Sales and Estimation Manager – Southern Region United Scaffolding (Christchurch, Queenstown, Dunedin) & Geeves Southland (Invercargill) Commercial Leadership. Technical Scoping. Accurate Pricing. Regional Growth. NZS Group is strengthening its commercial capability across the South Island — and we’re looking for a technically strong commercial leader with scaffolding, formwork, or construction estimating experience to drive pricing, tendering, client relationships, and regional growth. We need someone who can read tenders, scope jobs accurately, price confidently, and lead commercial decisions from day one. This role is based in Christchurch, with an initial focus on the Canterbury region, working from our United Scaffolding Christchurch office. As the role grows, your remit will extend across Queenstown, Dunedin, and Invercargill, supporting United Scaffolding and Geeves Southland. This is a senior role for someone who can operate confidently across commercial management , client leadership , and business development , while influencing multiple branches and stakeholders. Why This Role Matters You will be the commercial driver for our Southern region — responsible for: Accurate scoping and pricing of scaffolding and formwork jobs Leading tenders, proposals, and commercial submissions Building and maintaining high-value client relationships Driving a strong pipeline of commercial and residential work Ensuring commercial alignment across estimating and operations This is a role for someone who can win work, shape strategy, and deliver commercial results. What You’ll Lead Hands‑on commercial management: personally preparing pricing, leading tenders, shaping proposals, and driving margin performance Regional business development strategy: identifying growth sectors and target clients Technical scoping & estimating: reading plans, assessing access requirements, identifying risks, and preparing accurate pricing Tender leadership: responding to RFPs, preparing submissions, and shaping commercial strategy Client leadership: building trusted relationships with contractors, developers, and project partners Pipeline management: ensuring visibility, accuracy, and conversion across all branches This is a role for someone who can quote confidently, influence senior stakeholders, and drive commercial outcomes. Who This Role Suits You’ll thrive here if you bring: Scaffolding, formwork, construction, or temporary works experience Strong estimating capability: pricing jobs accurately without supervision Experience reading plans, scopes, and tender documents Commercial judgement: understanding margin, risk, and delivery constraints Client leadership experience: managing contractors, developers, and project partners Ability to operate across multiple sites and stakeholder groups A proactive, disciplined, solutions‑focused mindset This is a senior role — ideal for a Scaffolding Manager, Estimator, Operations Manager, or Commercial Lead ready to own regional commercial performance.
