Furnace Operator / Metal Casting

Hayes Metals is seeking an experienced Furnace Operator / Metal Casting professional to join our manufacturing facility in Onehunga, Auckland. This is a full-time position that plays a critical role in our metal production operations. As a Furnace Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of furnaces and metal casting equipment, ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards. This role is essential to maintaining our production schedules and delivering excellence to our clients. The position is based on-site at our Onehunga facility. Key responsibilities Operating furnaces and related metal casting equipment in accordance with established procedures and safety protocols Monitoring furnace temperatures, pressures and other critical parameters to ensure optimal performance Loading raw materials and managing the melting process to achieve consistent metal quality Pouring molten metal into moulds and supervising the process Conducting quality checks on cast products and identifying any defects or inconsistencies Performing routine maintenance and cleaning of furnaces and casting equipment Adhering to all health and safety regulations and company policies at all times Working collaboratively with team members and following supervisor instructions Assisting with equipment troubleshooting and reporting any issues promptly What we're looking for Proven experience as a Furnace Operator or Metal Casting professional in a manufacturing environment Sound knowledge of furnace operations and melting processes.
