We are Auckland based (Silverdale Office) and deliver solutions to customers NZ wide. About the Role This is a hands-on role working across a wide range of AV projects—from meeting rooms and collaboration spaces through to large-scale commercial and bespoke installations. You’ll be responsible for delivering complete AV system installations, from rack build through to commissioning and client handover. You’ll also be client-facing, so professionalism and communication are just as important as technical ability. Importantly, you won’t be on your own—you’ll be backed by experienced senior technicians and engineers, ensuring you’re well supported on projects and set up for success. What You’ll Be Doing Installing, configuring, and commissioning AV systems Programming and commissioning Audio DSP systems (Q-SYS, Biamp, BSS) Working with AV over IP systems, including multicast traffic management Delivering meeting room and collaboration solutions (Teams, Zoom Rooms) Fault finding, diagnostics, and system troubleshooting Building clean, well-structured racks to a high standard from schematics Supporting UC platforms (hardware + software setup) Assisting with system design where required (schematics, elevations, RCPs) Maintaining accurate documentation and asset records Representing EvolveTech professionally on-site with clients What We’re Looking For 5+ years’ experience in AV installation, configuration and commissioning Strong background in a field-based role with client interaction Experience with control systems (Crestron, AMX, Q-SYS, Biamp, BSS, Extron, Kramer) Solid networking knowledge (switching, routing, AV over IP) Experience across commercial AV environments of varying scale Ability to work independently and solve problems on-site High attention to detail—especially in rack builds and cable management Physically capable and confident using tools and power tools Excellent English verbal and written communication skills Strong time management with the ability to work autonomously Ability to work flexible hours and travel when required NZ Full Driver Licence Physically fit and able to carry out hands‑on installation work (including lifting up to 20kg) Nice to Have LED video wall installation and commissioning Experience with asset management systems Certifications (Advantageous) Crestron / AMX certifications Biamp certifications What You’ll Get A strong pipeline of high-quality, varied projects A supportive, skilled team that takes pride in their work Ongoing training and development opportunities Competitive salary based on experience The opportunity to grow with a company that’s building something solid Important Applicants must be based in New Zealand with valid working rights Visa sponsorship is not available #J-18808-Ljbffr
