Job Description
We are seeking two reliable and motivated Supervisors to join our busy retail and fast-food businesses in Whakatane. The successful candidates will assist with daily operations, coordinate staff, monitor stock, maintain customer service and quality standards, and ensure workplace health and safety requirements are followed. Location: Whakatane, Bay of Plenty Job Type: Full-time – 30 to 40 hours per week, including weekend work Duration: Permanent Pay Rate: $25 per hour Key Responsibilities Assist with the daily operations of the store or fast-food business. Coordinate staff duties and allocate tasks to ensure smooth operations. Monitor staff attendance, performance and work standards. Assist with staff training and provide guidance on workplace procedures. Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering and stock control. Receive, check and appropriately store incoming stock and supplies. Assist with maintaining sales, stock and operational records. Ensure products and services are provided to customers in a professional and timely manner. Handle customer enquiries and resolve routine customer concerns appropriately. Maintain high standards of cleanliness, food safety and workplace hygiene in the fast-food business. Ensure workplace health and safety procedures are followed by staff. Assist with merchandising, product displays, promotions and daily sales activities. Monitor product quality and ensure business procedures are followed consistently. Report operational issues, stock requirements and staff matters to management. Support management with implementing business policies and procedures. Help maintain a positive, safe and productive working environment. Skills and Requirements Good communication, organisational and leadership skills. Ability to coordinate staff and manage day-to-day operational tasks. Ability to work independently and make appropriate decisions within the role. Reliable, responsible and customer-focused. Flexible to work weekends and busy trading periods. Minimum 1 year of experience in a supervisory or similar operational role, or a relevant qualification at NZQF Level 4 or above. Must be legally entitled to work in New Zealand. No criminal background and must be of clean character.
