Driver/Furniture Mover

Advance Staging is looking for a reliable and hard-working casual Van Driver / Furniture Mover to join our growing business. We provide furniture staging services for homes across the Selwyn and are seeking someone who enjoys physical work, is self-motivated, and takes pride in presenting homes to a high standard. This role will initially involve casual weekend work, predominantly Friday - Sunday, with opportunities for increased hours as the business continues to grow. You’ll be working closely alongside the owner in a small hands-on operation, so reliability, initiative, and a good attitude are essential. Key Responsibilities Loading, unloading, and transporting staging furniture and décor Driving company vans to and from properties Assisting with furniture placement and home staging setup Working efficiently in a small team environment Taking care of staging furniture, vehicles, and client properties What We’re Looking For Full drivers licence with the ability to drive a manual vehicle Physically fit and capable of heavy lifting Reliable, punctual, and flexible with availability Comfortable working closely with the business owner in a small growing business Positive attitude and strong work ethic Ability to work weekends and short-notice/on-call shifts Previous moving, delivery, labouring, or furniture handling experience is an advantage but not essential Pre-Employment Requirements Pass an MOJ criminal history check Pass drug and alcohol testing Location Work will initially be based mainly throughout the Selwyn area, but will include some travel into Christchurch and the wider Canterbury region as the company grows.
