We’re on the lookout for a Payroll & People Coordinator to join our team at our Ōtara head office. You’ll be based on-site, working closely with the team and playing a key role in keeping our people and payroll running smoothly behind the scenes. Who are InZone Industries? InZone Industries manufacture and install insulation for residential and commercial properties all around New Zealand. We have two sides to our company – Mammoth Manufacturing which produces our insulation products, and Brightr who install our insulation into Kiwi homes. As an environmentally accredited company, InZone Industries uses up to 15,600 recycled plastic bottles for every 100 square meters of our insulation made. We are a part of the Warmer Kiwi Homes program with EECA that provides families with a warm and dry home. About the role: You will play a key role in payroll coordination,ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing and the efficient delivery of payroll information, along with our outsourced payroll provider (Datacom) for about 160 employees. Approximately 60% of the week is payroll focused. In addition, the role will be responsible for HR & recruitment administration including championing our HR software platform. Key responsibilities include: Completion of payroll functions in line with policies, procedures and compliance with relevant legislation. Timeous review and submission of all payroll data to facilitate accurate processing of payruns. Maintenance of manual (Google) timesheet templates, Administration of employee records within Bamboo HR, Time and attendance system and Payroll system to ensure fully aligned and accurate with latest employee data, Resolution of all payroll related queries. Maintenance of all HR documents within BambooHR and Google Drive Coordinating employee recruitment, onboarding and offboarding processes Provide advice on workplace relations, policies and procedures, performance management and employment relations matters Grow to be the HR system champion of the company, embracing digitisation of our HR processes. We use Bamboo HR. About You: You have at least 2 years’ experience in a payroll or similar position Knowledge and experience with HR requirements is an advantage. Working knowledge of employment legislation, such as the Employment Relations Act, Human Rights Act, Equal Pay Act and Privacy Act Proficiency in Google suite/Microsoft Office. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion. You’re autonomous, proactive in solving problems, and confident using technology to find smarter ways of working. Why Join Us?
