Clubhouse / Bar Assistant – 3 Month Fixed Term This is a hands-on hospitality role working primarily in the clubhouse bar and café, helping to provide a great experience for members, visitors, golf groups and functions. With spring approaching and golfing and event activity increasing, the role involves working as part of a small team in a unique hospitality environment overlooking one of Palmerston North's leading golf courses. The role will be approximately 20 hours per week, with hours varying depending on golf bookings, functions and events. It is essential that the candidate is available for evening and weekend work. Key responsibilities Serving members, visitors and golfing groups EFTPOS and cash handling Preparing and serving basic food and beverages Restocking and maintaining bar and café areas Cleaning and general clubhouse duties Assisting with functions, tournaments and events Helping the wider clubhouse team during busy periods About you Can confidently use a POS system Friendly, confident and comfortable dealing with a wide range of people Reliable and able to work independently when required Works well as part of a small team Can handle busy periods and changing priorities Willing to help out wherever needed Previous bar, café or hospitality experience – preferred but not essential Holds a current Manager's Certificate – advantageous, but not essential About us Palmerston North Golf Club is looking for a friendly, reliable and energetic person to join the clubhouse team.
