We’re looking for a capable, hands-on Site Manager - Interiors to join the delivery team on a fixed-term basis for a significant three-level commercial fit-out project in Hastings. With the interior phase underway and services and finishing trades ramping up, this is an opportunity to step into a key site-based role and take ownership of the day-to-day coordination and delivery of the interiors. We’re looking for someone who is equally comfortable running subcontractors and coordinating trades as they are jumping on the tools when required to keep the programme moving. This is a fixed-term position available for an immediate start through to project completion in September 2027, with the potential for further opportunities in Hawke’s Bay as the business continues to pursue work in the region. Reporting directly to the Project Manager, you’ll take responsibility for the day-to-day management of interior works across three levels of the project. Your time will be approximately 70% site and trade management and 30% hands‑on, depending on what is required on any given day. You’ll be responsible for: Coordinating and managing subcontractors, builders and site personnel Overseeing services and finishing trades including plumbing, painting, plastering and associated interior works Managing workflow and sequencing across the three fit-out levels Keeping trades moving and ensuring work is completed to the required standard and programme Communicating effectively with the Project Manager, subcontractors and wider project team Identifying issues early and taking ownership of getting them resolved Assisting hands‑on where required – Supporting QA processes, particularly if you have experience using Procore or similar systems You’ll ideally bring: Proven experience in commercial fit‑outs, interiors or finishing works Strong knowledge of interior construction methodology and trade sequencing Confidence managing multiple subcontractors and personalities on a busy construction site Strong communication skills and the confidence to take charge when required A practical, solutions‑focused approach to getting work completed The ability to remain cool, calm and collected when the pressure comes on A willingness and ability to get hands‑on and help the team when required Experience with Procore or similar QA technology would be advantageous, but is not essential Above all, we’re looking for someone who understands interiors, can run a floor effectively and doesn’t need to be micromanaged. What’s on offer Fixed-term position through to September 2027 $90,000 - $120,000+ depending on experience Salary or hourly arrangements can be considered Immediate start Accommodation support available, including the potential use of company-provided accommodation in Havelock North Opportunity for continued work in Hawke’s Bay, subject to upcoming project wins A key delivery role where you can take genuine ownership of the interiors and make an immediate impact Typical site hours are 7.30am - 5.00pm, with overtime and some Saturday work required when the programme demands it, particularly as the project moves towards completion. If you’re an experienced interiors or fit‑out professional who enjoys being on site, running trades and getting stuck in when required, we’d like to hear from you. Whether you’re already based in Hawke’s Bay or would consider relocating for the duration of the project. #J-18808-Ljbffr
