About the Role We are looking for a Planned Care Inpatient Coordinator to join our Southern Planned Care team. This is a key role that supports the delivery of elective and planned care services across the district, helping ensure patients receive timely access to treatment while supporting achievement of national health targets. As the Planned Care Inpatient Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating initiatives that improve inpatient elective performance and patient flow throughout the district. You will work across clinical and operational teams to monitor activity, identify risks and opportunities, support service planning, and drive process improvements. Your responsibilities will include: Monitor and analyse planned care performance, waiting lists, and treatment delivery. Support achievement of elective and planned care targets across Southern. Coordinate initiatives that improve theatre utilisation and reduce cancellations and dropped lists. Work closely with clinical and operational teams to identify risks and develop solutions. Lead and support projects that improve patient administration processes and patient pathways. Analyse data, identify trends, and provide reporting that supports informed decision-making. Support outsourcing initiatives and work collaboratively with private providers to improve patient access to treatment. Providing advice and education to staff regarding planned care processes and performance. About You Are you a skilled administrator and problem solver who enjoys working across teams to improve patient outcomes? We are looking for someone who combines strong analytical capability with excellent relationship management skills. You will have: A tertiary qualification or equivalent of relevant experience in theatre booking systems, patient administration, process improvement, data analysis or related field. Strong excel spreadsheet and computer skills. Experience in identifying and implementing process improvements. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. The ability to build effective relationships with a broad range of stakeholders. Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
