Duty Manager & Section waiter We’re on the hunt for a Duty Manager & Section waiter who brings energy, personality, and solid hospitality skills to the floor. Role Overview This is a hands-on service role where you’ll be looking after guests from the moment they walk in to the moment they leave (ideally already planning their next visit). You’ll be part of a tight team, working across service, hosting, and keeping the energy just right. Key Responsibilities Welcome and seat guests in a warm, relaxed, and efficient manner Take food and beverage orders and deliver table service Provide menu guidance (pizza, snacks, drinks) in a natural, engaging way Manage sections during service, ensuring smooth flow of tables Responsible for ensuring compliance with liquor licensing requirements Operate POS system and handle payments accurately Communicate clearly with kitchen and bar to ensure timely service Maintain cleanliness and presentation of dining areas Assist with opening and closing dutiesHandle guest queries and resolve issues professionally Work collaboratively with the team to maintain a positive environment Key Requirements At least 1 year relevant experience in a waiter / front-of-house role Must hold a current LCQ (Licence Controller Qualification) Strong customer service skills and ability to engage with a wide range of guests Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Good communication and teamwork skills Basic food and beverage knowledge (wine/beer knowledge a bonus, not essential) Reliable, well-presented, and professional Availability to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays Minimum 30 hours per week Hourly rate: $28–$32 per hour (depending on experience) + tips Role based in Arrowtown, Otago Why Join Little Aosta?
