Night Shift Team Leader

Pultron Composites Ltd is a Gisborne-based manufacturer of advanced composite products, supplying customers around the world. We're looking for a Pultrusion Team Leader to lead our night shift — someone who can bring energy, structure and a genuine improvement mindset to the floor. The Opportunity: As Team Leader, you’ll lead the night shift team and keep the Pultrusion production line running safely, efficiently and to a high standard. You’ll be hands‑on in production while supporting, guiding and developing the Pultrusion Technicians on your shift. Shift Pattern: Night shift on a 4-on / 4-off roster, working 12-hour shifts. What You'll Do: Lead, coordinate and motivate a team of Pultrusion Technicians to keep production flowing safely and efficiently Set daily work priorities and make sure the team has what it needs to hit quality, output and safety targets Champion a continuous improvement mindset — looking for smarter, faster, better ways of doing things Confirm QC checks, downtime records and production paperwork are completed accurately Make sure the team is trained, safe, and working to company and customer standards Be a visible, hands‑on leader who leads by example on the floor What We’re Looking For: A natural motivator — someone who gets the best out of people and builds a strong team culture A continuous improvement mindset, always looking for a better way Sharp and quick‑thinking, with strong problem‑solving ability IT savvy, comfortable using digital systems and production/reporting tools Experience leading or supervising a team in a manufacturing or production environment (advantageous) A calm, fair and safety‑first approach under pressure Why Pultron?
