Social Worker - Casual New Zealand Government Christchurch, South Island, NZ About the Role Casual position available in our Social Work Services at Christchurch Hospital. Hours of work include day, late and night shift across a 7-day service, to be considered, you must be available to work across all shift patterns, including late and night shifts. Responsibilities Social work assessment, monitoring and support of patients Triaging workloads to meet patient needs and service demands Attending and participating in social work team and departmental activities, projects and staff meetings Participate in service development and quality assurance initiative / processes. Supporting team needs with work prioritisation and delivery Work in partnership with our Maori Health team Working across our teams to support service demand About You Competency in the use of digital technology You will be able to work effectively in teams and independently Strong interpersonal, communication and organisational skills The ability to work within a Multidisciplinary team The ability to flex and adapt to meet work demands Knowledge of te reo me ōna tikanga Excellent communication skills and the ability to relate to people from all walks of life Current APC and NZ Registration is required Professional Development Our service is committed to the professional development of our staff and offers regular ongoing development opportunities.
