We are seeking an experienced and values-driven Finance Manager to lead our finance function and support our organisation to deliver on its strategic goals. This role is based at our Wellington National Office, a welcoming and inclusive workplace with a thoughtfully designed mix of shared, quiet and collaborative spaces. We support flexible working, including the option to work from home one to two days per week. Reporting to the Director Corporate Services, you will lead the Finance Team and provide high-quality financial, payroll, data analysis, and reporting services across the organisation. You will work closely with the Chief Executive, Senior Leadership Team, Board and Assurance & Risk Committee to ensure strong financial management, transparency and sustainability. We are looking for a confident finance leader who enjoys working in a purpose-driven environment. You will bring strong technical expertise, a collaborative leadership style and the ability to translate financial information into meaningful insight that supports good decision-making across the organisation. This is a broad and influential role that combines hands-on financial leadership with strategic thinking, people leadership, and governance support, including: Leading and developing a high-performing Finance Team with clear priorities, strong capability and accountability. Delivering accurate, timely and insightful financial reporting to budget holders, the Board and the Assurance & Risk Committee. Leading budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow management, payroll, and compliance to support financial sustainability. Overseeing financial systems, controls, policies, risk management and external audit processes. Preparing financial and non-financial reporting for the Annual Report in line with Public Benefit Entity financial reporting standards. Maintaining the contract register and oversight of vendor agreements, ensuring contracts, policies and procedures are current, followed and fit for purpose. To be considered for the role you will have: Full membership of Chartered Accountants of Australia and New Zealand is essential(CPA Australia or CIMA or equivalent).
