As a Meat Processor, you will play a crucial role in our daily operations. You will work closely with our skilled butchers and support our commitment to providing the finest meat products to our customers. Immediate start Part-time, permanent Location: Woolston, Christchurch Days of work: Monday to Wednesday Shift timings: 12.00 pm to 08.30 pm (approx.) The job: Your primary responsibilities will include accurately packaging and preparing meat products to ensure they meet our stringent quality standards. Packing and labelling meat products with precision and care. Ensuring that all products are packaged according to quality and safety standards. Operating the vac pack, other equipment and machinery to wrap meat Organising and preparing orders for timely delivery to customers. Maintaining a clean and hygienic work environment. Preparation of meat products as and when required (full training provided) Following all Food Safety and Health and Safety processes to a high standard Assist with general butchery and other operational duties The person: Our ideal candidate will possess some previous experience in a meat processing/packing role or related food industry experience. The skills and attributes needed: Previous experience working in a pick packing/ process environment An ability to follow instructions and to work under pressure Good level of physical fitness and be able to lift up to 20 kgs. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining product quality. Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Strong work ethic and a focus on safety and cleanliness. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Be Comfortable to work in a cold environment Reliable transport to work and willingness to learn Be flexible in the role and take on additional tasks as required Eligibility: Applicants must have NZ citizenship, residency, or a valid work visa.
