Location: Hamilton, Cambridge or Tauranga Territory: Waikato and Bay of Plenty I’m working with an established supplier of leading global cutting-tool and machining brands to appoint a Technical Sales Engineer for the Waikato and Bay of Plenty region. This is a genuine territory-ownership role for someone with strong CNC machining and tooling knowledge who can turn that technical expertise into trusted customer relationships and commercial growth. As the primary commercial contact for the region, you’ll work closely with manufacturing and engineering customers to improve machining performance, reduce cost per part and deliver long-term value. ABOUT THE ROLE Own and grow an established Waikato and Bay of Plenty territory Identify and win new business across manufacturing and engineering Build strong relationships with machinists, engineers, production teams and procurement Recommend technical tooling solutions that improve performance and reduce cost Manage pricing, quotations and commercial negotiations Maintain a strong pipeline and convert opportunities into long-term customers Work alongside a dedicated operations team to ensure reliable service delivery WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR You’ll need at least five years of relevant CNC machining or tooling experience, along with a strong understanding of manufacturing environments. We’re interested in hearing from: Experienced Technical Sales Engineers or Account Managers from CNC, cutting tools or manufacturing Cutting-tool specialists or Applications Engineers Experienced CNC Programmers, senior machinists or manufacturing professionals with the commercial confidence and ability to move into technical sales You’ll also bring: Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills A practical, solutions-focused approach Confidence working with engineers, production teams and procurement The ability to identify opportunities—not simply respond to requests Strong relationship-building and communication skills The self-motivation to take ownership of a regional territory WHAT’S ON OFFER Competitive base salary Performance-based bonus Company vehicle or vehicle allowance Established customer base with strong growth potential Dedicated operational support Access to leading global tooling brand (Sandvik Coromant) The opportunity to make a real impact within a growing business Relocation support for the right person WHY CONSIDER THIS OPPORTUNITY?
