Smith Crane & Construction – Christchurch, South Island We are looking for an experienced Site Supervisor to join our growing team. If you're a hands‑on leader with strong civil construction experience and a passion for delivering quality projects safely and efficiently, we'd love to hear from you. Working across a variety of civil construction projects, you'll be responsible for coordinating site activities, leading crews, managing subcontractors, and ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, and to a high standard. What You’ll Be Doing: Supervising day-to-day civil construction activities on site. Leading and supporting site crews to deliver quality outcomes. Coordinating subcontractors, suppliers, plant and materials. Ensuring projects remain on schedule and within scope. Promoting and maintaining a strong health and safety culture. Conducting toolbox meetings, site inspections and quality checks. Liaising with project managers, clients and other stakeholders. Identifying and resolving site issues before they impact delivery. Maintaining accurate site records and reporting project progress. What We’re Looking For: Minimum 5–10 years’ experience in civil construction, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role. Strong knowledge of earthworks, drainage, roading, concrete works and bridge construction. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications. Proven leadership and team management skills. Solid understanding of health & safety regulations and compliance. Excellent organisational and time management skills. Full NZ driver’s license (Class 2 preferred).
