About therole: The GISTechnician provides spatial design and GIS support across Council, helpingmaintain accurate spatial information and deliver practical GIS solutions forour teams. Working alongside experienced colleagues and subject matter experts,you'll support the development and implementation of spatial solutions andcontribute to the ongoing improvement of Council's GIS systems and processes. Key Responsibilities: Provide spatial design services using GIS andrelated applications. Support the development, testing, andimplementation of spatial solutions. Assist with spatial data management, qualityassurance, and conversion. Work with subject matter experts to understandrequirements and develop practical solutions. Support the development and maintenance ofspatial standards, templates, and processes. About you: You'll bring: A relevant GIS qualification or equivalentpractical experience. Some practical experience working with GIS,ideally in a workplace environment. Working knowledge of GIS applications such asESRI and FME, with some experience using SQL and Microsoft tools. Good attention to detail and an ability to workaccurately with spatial data. Good communication and interpersonal skills,with a willingness to learn and work collaboratively. What's in itfor you?
