AI Builder Department: People & Culture Employment Type: Full Time Location: Wellington (7) Description People stuff is hard. We help clients crack it. About the role As our AI Builder, you’ll build practical AI tools our team use every day – not experiments, demos, or shiny tools that sit on a shelf. You’ll work closely with our EX and Operations Manager to understand the work, teach the team, and track what’s actually making a difference. What you'll be doing: Build practical AI tools for repeatable work across onboarding, finance, reporting, design, and client delivery. Get close to the work first by shadowing, testing, and learning with the team, so you can build tools people actually use. Create reusable client-ready tools that give consultants a strong starting point, not one-off hacks that need rebuilding. Integrate tools into how we already work including Slack, Outlook, Microsoft 365, and our practice management systems. Support adoption and good guardrails by helping teach the team, keeping our AI and data guidance current, and tracking what’s making a difference. About you You’re confident building with AI and keen to keep learning. You’re driven, curious, practical and comfortable figuring things out as you go. You’re AI-native and hands-on. You know your way around Claude and other leading AI tools, and building workflows and automation already comes naturally. You’re early in your career. You might be a recent graduate, close to graduating, and have built experience through work, study, volunteering, or a side hustle. You like solving real business problems. You’re interested in how finance, operations, customer-facing teams, and people-focused work fit together, and how AI can make that work better. You’re a builder first, and keen to grow as a teacher too. We’ll work with you to help you share what you know and bring others along. What’s in it for you Own a new capability at Humankind.
