Hydraulic Specialties (SI) Ltd - Christchurch, South Island Our team is looking for a Mobile Hose Technician to join our Christchurch-based operations, servicing Christchurch and the surrounding areas. This is a varied, hands-on role offering a mix of field service and workshop-based work - giving you the best of both worlds. This role has become available due to our current Hose Technician leaving the industry. We are proudly NZ owned and operated, supplying product, solutions and services across New Zealand and Australia. We employ an awesome team of engineers, tradespeople, technical sales, and service professionals who provide an amazing service to our broad customer base. What really sets us apart is our people. You'll be joining a group that values teamwork, continuous learning, and taking pride in delivering great results for our customers. What will you be doing? Attending customer sites across Christchurch and surrounding areas for on-site repairs and breakdown response Diagnosing faults and providing practical, timely solutions Manufacturing of hose assemblies both in the workshop and on site Installing and replacing hydraulic hoses, fittings and associated components in our workshop and on-site Delivering excellent customer service and building strong relationships Managing the mobile service vehicle, vehicle stock and equipment Ensuring health and safety standards are adhered to at all times Collaborating with the wider team to ensure efficient and seamless service delivery What do you need for a successful application? Proven hydraulic industry experience as a Hose Technician Minimum of 3 years hydraulic industry experience Proven fault-finding and problem-solving skills Sound knowledge of hydraulic systems and components Ability to work independently in the field and collaboratively in a team Strong communication and interpersonal skills Physically fit, willing and able to perform manual work General Computer skills for quotes, invoicing and use of company software Proactive committed approach to health and safety What can you expect?
