About the Job Pacific Stone has an opportunity available for a Stone Benchtop Fabricator experienced in transforming raw slabs of natural and engineered stone (granite, marble, quartz, sintered stone, and porcelain) into custom kitchen benchtops, bathroom vanities, office countertops, fireplaces, and other premium surfaces. You will work from templates and technical drawings to ensure a perfect, near-seamless fit for functional and aesthetic results. Position Description / Role Responsibilities Manual fabrication and polishing of stone. Glue together and polish the stone to form thicker surfaces. Cutting and polishing stone, under mounts, and drainage grooves. Edging and profiling of stone edges, mitering, bullnosing, bevelling. Using polishing tools to polish tops, sides, and edges. You may also be involved in loading, transporting, and installing the finished product on-site. Using handheld polishing tools to perform any remedial repairs and repair chips and scratches. Role Requirements 2-3 years of relevant experience with fabricating stone surfaces and countertops. Able to demonstrate a high level of precision using diamond tooling. You must be Health and Safety conscious, with an eye for detail and quality workmanship. Strength and physical fitness are essential for these roles. Able to specify and/or provide evidence of your New Zealand work rights. Pacific Stone are an Approved ACCREDITED EMPLOYER with Immigration New Zealand.
