Zamora - The meat preachers – Christchurch, South Island Factory Food Worker (3 Positions) – Christchurch About Us Zamora is a growing food manufacturing business producing high-quality food products in accordance with New Zealand food safety standards. Due to continued business growth and increased production demand, we are seeking four reliable and motivated Factory Food Workers to join our new production facility in Christchurch . Our Christchurch factory is expected to commence operations in approximately one month. As part of the recruitment process, shortlisted candidates may be invited to attend a 3-hour unpaid work trial at our existing Queenstown factory , as the Christchurch facility is not yet operational. The trial is voluntary and for recruitment assessment purposes only and will be used to assess practical skills relevant to the position, including knife skills, ability to follow production instructions, food handling and suitability for a repetitive production environment. Participation in the trial does not constitute an offer of employment or guarantee employment with Zamora. Practical arrangements for candidates travelling from Christchurch can be discussed with shortlisted applicants. The permanent place of work for these positions will be Christchurch . About the Role As a Factory Food Worker, you will perform a variety of production, food preparation and packaging duties within our food manufacturing facility while maintaining high standards of food safety, quality and hygiene. Key Responsibilities Weigh, measure, mix and prepare food ingredients. Operate food processing and packaging machinery. Add ingredients, seasonings and preservatives according to production specifications. Use knives safely and efficiently to prepare food products as required. Monitor product quality throughout the production process. Package, label and palletise finished food products. Move products between production, storage and dispatch areas. Clean production equipment, machinery, tanks, utensils and work areas. Maintain high standards of food hygiene and sanitation. Follow food safety, quality assurance, and health and safety procedures. Assist with general factory and production duties as required. About You To be successful in this role, you will: Be physically fit and capable of undertaking manual handling and repetitive production work. Be able to follow written and verbal instructions. Demonstrate reliability, punctuality and a strong work ethic. Be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment. Have excellent attention to detail and a strong commitment to food safety and hygiene. Be willing to work flexible rostered shifts. Have at least six months' previous experience in food manufacturing, factory production, or a commercial kitchen as a Cook or Chef . Have good knife skills and be confident using knives safely and efficiently, as knife work forms an essential part of the role. Understand that this is a highly repetitive production role requiring consistency, accuracy and the ability to maintain quality standards throughout each shift. #J-18808-Ljbffr
