We are seeking a Monitoring Arborist to join our high-performing team as our business continues to grow, ensuring trees are protected on construction sites while keeping projects moving. About the Role You will supervise construction activity near trees on sites, liaising with stakeholders, contractors and regulatory bodies to ensure consenting and approval conditions are met. This role suits someone with strong communication skills, a solutions-based mindset, and the confidence to manage potential conflicts and find practical outcomes. Key responsibilities include: Supervising construction-related activities near trees Liaising with key stakeholders around consenting and approval conditions Liaising with contractors, including managing potential conflict and reaching practical solutions Undertaking pre-start meetings with project team representatives Assisting wider company team members in their consultancy roles Preparing clear, accurate monitoring records and compliance reporting Upholding high standards of Health & Safety at all times About You To be successful, you will have: A Level 4 qualification in arboriculture (or a related environmental field) Confidence using the full Microsoft Office suite A personable, solutions-focused mindset - comfortable resolving design and construction conflict on site GIS software experience is an advantage, but not essential Strong self-management and time-management skills, with the ability to work independently A self-learner's attitude - we provide ongoing support and development as you grow in the role Strong commitment to Health & Safety What We Offer Company vehicle Flexible working hours (where project commitments allow) Ongoing professional development and mentoring support Exposure to cutting-edge technologies and unique project opportunities A supportive team environment and a company that truly values its people Applicants must be eligible to work in New Zealand.
