What you'll be doing Welcoming customers with warmth and professionalism, creating a memorable shopping experience in our Christchurch store Providing expert product knowledge about our jewellery collections, including materials, craftsmanship, and design heritage Assisting customers in selecting jewellery pieces that meet their needs, preferences, and budgets Processing sales transactions accurately and efficiently using point-of-sale systems Maintaining jewellery displays and store presentation to the highest standards Handling customer inquiries regarding repairs, valuations, and special orders with professionalism and care Building long-term customer relationships and identifying opportunities for repeat business Contributing to a positive team environment and supporting colleagues during busy periods Adhering to security protocols and company policies to protect our valuable inventory What we're looking for Previous retail experience, preferably in jewellery, luxury goods, or high-end retail environments Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to engage diverse clientele professionally and courteously Strong communication abilities, both verbal and written Genuine passion for jewellery and an appreciation for craftsmanship and design Reliability and punctuality, with the flexibility to work part-time hours as required Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team Numeracy skills and accuracy when handling cash and transactions A smart appearance with an understanding of professional presentation standards Honesty and integrity in handling valuable merchandise Willingness to develop product knowledge and undertake ongoing training What we offer At Rowena Watson Jewellers Limited, we value our team members and offer competitive remuneration for part-time positions.
