Job Description
Jora New Zealand will close on 9th September 2026. Thank you for being with us, we are cheering you on as you continue your career journey. Wilderness Motorhomes - Christchurch, South Island Are you a sales professional who'd rather sell something you genuinely believe in? Looking for a considered, consultative sale instead of a scripted numbers grind? Want to work in a fun, supportive environment with a team that genuinely enjoys what they do? This could be your next adventure. Who is Wilderness? Wilderness is a New Zealand-owned family business that’s been at the forefront of tourism for over 20 years. We rent premium motorhomes to both locals and international visitors, and we’re also the exclusive New Zealand distributor for some of Germany's top motorhome brands. We're here to help our customers create unforgettable journeys across Aotearoa in beautifully crafted European motorhomes. But it's not just about the vehicles- it's about the experience we deliver, which our glowing reviews speak volumes about. As our business continues to grow and set new standards in premium travel, there's never been a better time to join the Wilderness team. What will you do? In this role, you will guide people through one of the biggest purchases they will ever make. You aren't processing transactions; you are helping customers find the motorhome that fits the life they want to live, and staying with them from the first conversation on the forecourt through to the moment they drive away with the keys. Key responsibilities include: Consultative Selling: Taking the time to genuinely understand what each customer wants from motorhome ownership, then matching them to the right vehicle - including the honest conversation about the one that isn't right for them. Brand and Product Expertise: Becoming the authority on our German-built range - HYMER, Bürstner and Carado - and on the wider market, so customers get straight answers rather than a brochure. Pipeline Ownership: Running your own pipeline with full transparency - proactively working our database, building a referral network, and driving every opportunity to a clear outcome rather than letting it drift. Deal Execution: Contracting each sale to a legally sound standard, with accurate documentation, cleared deposits, and terms the customer genuinely understands before they sign. The Ownership Experience: Coordinating with our workshop and support teams so every new owner receives a vehicle exactly as promised, on a date we can meet. What we need from you To be successful in this role, you'll be a consultative seller who listens more than they pitch. We're looking for someone disciplined about the follow-up and the paperwork, curious enough to become a genuine product expert, and who understands that a premium purchase is earned through trust rather than pressure. Specifically, we are looking for: Proven Sales Record : 2+ years of sales experience, preferably in luxury, high-end or considered-purchase environments, with a demonstrable track record of meeting or exceeding targets. Consultative Approach : The ability to build rapport quickly with a broad range of people, ask the questions that matter, and hold your nerve through a long sales cycle. Systems Discipline : Confidence working in a CRM (HubSpot experience is a plus), Google Suite and Confluence, with the attention to detail that accurate contracts and clean pipeline data demand. Product Curiosity : A genuine interest in how things are built, and the appetite to become the person customers trust on European motorhome engineering. Collaborative Spirit : A team player who works easily alongside our workshop, finance and support teams, and who picks up for colleagues without being asked. Educational Foundation : A tertiary qualification in Sales and Marketing, Business or a related field is preferred. Full, clean driver's licence, and the confidence to drive large vehicles. Permanent legal entitlement to work in NZ. 7 reasons why you would want to be part of our team We have a strong sense of purpose - everything we do relates back to our mission and values. Everyone has a passion for what they do and you can feel it. You get to learn and grow in a fun and supportive environment. You get to work with people from different backgrounds and all walks of life. You will work with the customer service gurus in the tourism industry and have access to high performance coaching. We are performance-driven and reward you for your achievements. We actively encourage you to travel and explore using our motorhomes. Caring deeply about our people comes naturally to us. That's why we are committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace where all team members are valued, respected, and given equal opportunities. We encourage applicants from all backgrounds to apply. Learn more by reading our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) policy at https://www.wilderness.co.nz/about-us/sustainability-promise/dei-policy. This is a salaried position - there is no commission component. Your remuneration is reviewed annually against our competency framework, so the range reflects experience and capability rather than sales volume in any given month. #J-18808-Ljbffr
