We are seeking a commercially minded and analytically strong Strategic Workforce Capacity Business Partner to lead workforce planning, capability forecasting and strategic workforce modelling across a public sector organisation. This is a newly established role, helping leaders understand current and future workforce demand, identify capability gaps, and develop evidence-based strategies to ensure the organisation has the right people, skills and capacity to deliver on its long-term objectives. Reporting into the Chief People Officer, and working closely with Finance, senior leaders and key business stakeholders, you will bring workforce data to life through robust modelling, forecasting and strategic insights. Your work will inform organisational decision-making and support future workforce investment, capability development and resource planning. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain workforce capacity and capability models. Analyse workforce trends, risks and constraints to identify current and future capability gaps. Build workforce forecasting tools, reports and scenarios to support long-term planning. Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making. Partner with Finance and business leaders to align workforce planning with organisational priorities and forecast demand. Influence and engage stakeholders across the organisation on workforce strategy and planning initiatives. Contribute to the development of a mature, outcomes-focused workforce planning framework. About You You may come from workforce planning, strategic HR, organisational development, analytics, consulting or a related discipline. What is critical is your ability to combine strong numerical capability with strategic thinking and stakeholder influence. You will bring: Experience in workforce planning, resource planning, workforce analytics, capacity modelling or a similar field. Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Advanced capability in data analysis, forecasting, and modelling. Confidence interpreting complex data sets and translating them into practical insights. Experience partnering with senior stakeholders and influencing decision-making. Excellent communication skills and the ability to connect workforce strategy with organisational outcomes.
