About the Role As a Registered Nurse in the Acute Stroke and Rehabilitation Services, you will care for a diverse range of patients requiring specialised acute stroke care and rehabilitation. This role focuses on providing goal-directed, interdisciplinary assessment, treatment, and recovery for patients aged 16 years and older. With opportunities to develop your skills across a wide spectrum of care needs, this position offers a rewarding chance to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives. This position is a fixed term contract, working part-time (32 hours per week). This role is offered on a rotating roster that includes morning, afternoon and night shifts. About the Team/Service/ Location Our team in Te Poutama Arawhiti includes an 8-bed Acute Stroke Unit and a 31-bed ward offering rehabilitation and specialised health services for older people. We work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary environment, striving to provide the highest quality rehabilitation services and maximising each patient's functional recovery. Strong communication skills, a collaborative approach, and a passion for supporting patients through recovery are essential.
