Preparing and reviewing income tax returns, including IR10, for individuals, companies, trusts and partnerships. Preparing and reviewing GST, PAYE, FBT, RWT and NRWT returns and reconciliations. Managing the provisional and terminal tax cycle, including determining the appropriate provisional tax method, calculating instalments and advising on interest exposure. Assessing tax pooling requirements, evaluating quotes and arranging transfers and payment arrangements. Acting as our main point of contact with Inland Revenue across the full range of client matters. Maintaining and improving our tax compliance systems and internal controls in Xero and Xero Practice Manager, and recommending improvements to client record-keeping. Advising the wider accounting and advisory team on taxation questions arising in their engagements. About you A bachelor's degree in accounting or commerce with a major in accounting (NZQF Level 7 or an equivalent overseas qualification) At least 2 years of practical New Zealand tax compliance experience in a chartered accounting practice or equivalent environment. Experience preparing income tax returns including IR10, together with GST, PAYE, FBT, RWT and NRWT returns.
