SBL Group - Nelson Coachlines is seeking a skilled and motivated Diesel Mechanic to join our growing team in Richmond, Tasman. This full-time role involves maintaining and repairing a diverse fleet of tour coaches, buses, and light commercial vehicles. You’ll work alongside a dedicated team ensuring our vehicles are safe, reliable, and presented to the highest standards. About the Role SBL Group - Nelson Coachlines is seeking a skilled and motivated Diesel Mechanic to join our growing team in Richmond, Tasman. This full-time role involves maintaining and repairing a diverse fleet of tour coaches, buses, and light commercial vehicles. You’ll work alongside a dedicated team ensuring our vehicles are safe, reliable, and presented to the highest standards. What You’ll Be Doing Carrying out routine servicing, maintenance, and mechanical repairs on a wide range of vehicles Diagnosing and rectifying mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults Preparing vehicles for Certificate of Fitness inspections Attending to breakdowns and unplanned repairs when required Maintaining workshop standards, safety, and efficiency What We’re Looking For Trade qualification as a Diesel Mechanic (or equivalent experience) Experience working on buses, trucks, or heavy vehicles preferred Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work both independently and as part of a team A positive attitude and pride in quality workmanship Current Class 2 licence or higher advantageous About Us SBL Group - Nelson Coachlines is a family-owned transport and tourism company.
