The HR Advisor will be instrumental in keeping all things HR running seamlessly across the business in support of the HR Manager FIXED-TERM CONTRACT OPPORTUNITY We are seeking a Dunedin-based HR Advisor to join our clients on an upcoming fixed-term contract requirement. This is a true generalist role where you’ll partner with leaders and teams across the business, providing practical, hands-on HR support and guidance across the full employee lifecycle in a fast-paced environment. This is a Dunedin based opportunity, we will not be considering remote or FIFO candidates for this position. ABOUT THE ROLE: Reporting to the HR Manager, you’ll be responsible for providing generalist HR Advisory level support to your manager across the full employee lifecycle. You'll manage recruitment processes end-to-end from sitting down with managers to craft JDs to completing reference and background checks and onboarding processes. It's expected you'll have prior experience in ER and can provide guidance and support to Junior HR staff. Other responsibilities will vary fromthe development and implementation of HR policies to various project based assignments. ABOUT YOU: You’ll be someone who works well with others, has great communication, and who can manage sensitive issues with diplomacy and discretion. Sometimes we just need to roll up our sleeves to help others get stuff done – so you’ll harness your flexibility and can-do attitude to rise to the challenge, whilst being able to maintain your composure when you are under the pump. While this role has variety and lots of moving parts, there is also still a healthy balance with more routine tasks. EXPERIENCE: Relevant tertiary qualification and minimum 5 years of HR experience with prior employment at an advisory level. Sound understanding of NZ employment legislation and HR practice. Proven experience in leading end-to-end recruitment process (writing ads from scratch to on-boarding). Previously supporting HR Managers through disciplinary processes. High-level communicator (verbal and written) with a dedication to relationship building.
