Events & Engagement Coordinator

Rotorua Arts Village Trust – Rotorua, North Island The Arts Village is seeking an energetic and passionate Events & Engagement Coordinator to play a key role in delivering a vibrant programme of arts and cultural experiences that connect, inspire, and celebrate our community. This is an exciting and varied role where no two days are the same. You'll coordinate and deliver a diverse range of initiatives, including exhibitions, artist residencies, community markets, creative workshops, and monthly children's art activities. You'll work closely with artists, creatives, community groups, and partners to create memorable experiences that make art accessible to everyone. You'll also be the voice of The Arts Village online, managing our social media presence and helping tell the stories of our artists, programmes, and community. From creating engaging content and promoting events to celebrating creative successes, you'll help grow our audience and strengthen our impact. You'll also support artists to connect with new opportunities and expand their reach. Key responsibilities Coordinate and deliver exhibitions, artist residencies, community markets, creative workshops, and monthly children's art activities Work closely with artists, creatives, community groups, and partners to create memorable experiences Manage The Arts Village social media presence Create engaging content and promote events Tell the stories of artists, programmes, and community Celebrate creative successes Support artists to connect with new opportunities and expand their reach About you A self-starter with energy, initiative, and a positive can-do attitude Highly organised and capable of managing multiple projects at once Creative, innovative, and passionate about the arts and community development Confident building relationships with people from all backgrounds and age groups An excellent communicator with strong written and verbal communication skills Experienced in event coordination and project delivery Skilled in social media management and digital storytelling Collaborative, adaptable, and motivated to achieve great outcomes Experience in marketing, content creation, graphic design, or audience development would be an advantage #J-18808-Ljbffr
