About the Role As Clinical Secretarial Support, you will provide high-quality administrative and secretarial support to consultants and clinical teams. You will be responsible for managing clinical correspondence, coordinating appointments, maintaining accurate patient records, and supporting the patient journey from referral through to treatment and follow-up care. This role requires excellent attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining a high level of professionalism and confidentiality. This is a permanent, full-time position working 80 hours per fortnight (1.0 FTE), Monday to Friday, 7.30AM to 4.00PM. About the Team/Service/ Location Our Clinical Support Services team plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the patient's journey. By providing essential administrative support, we enable clinical teams to focus on delivering exceptional patient care. From coordinating schedules to managing documentation, we are the backbone of the hospital's daily operations. About you Have excellent administrative and organisational skills; Be a confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills; Demonstrate a high level of accuracy and attention to detail; Possess sound computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office applications; Have the ability to manage a busy and varied workload; Be committed to providing exceptional customer service; Respect the importance of patient confidentiality and privacy; Previous secretarial, administration, or healthcare experience and knowledge of medical terminology would be advantageous but are not essential. Typing speed of 50 words per minute or more is essential. Audio transcription experience and medical terminology would be advantageous but not essential. Our preferred applicants will be required to undertake a computer skills assessment. The successful candidate must be eligible to work in New Zealand or hold a valid NZ work visa at the time of applying.
