Located on the shores of the beautiful Mackenzie Country canals near Twizel, we're home to New Zealand's freshest salmon and welcome thousands of visitors each week through our Fish Shop, Floating Café, and Tourism Activities. We are looking for friendly, reliable and customer-focused Fish Shop Representatives to join our team. The days and hours for this role are flexible and can be tailored to suit the right applicant, making it ideal for someone seeking either full-time or a work-life balance with school-friendly hours, semi-retirement, or as additional income. About the Role As one of the friendly faces of High Country Salmon, you'll help create memorable experiences for customers from throughout New Zealand and around the world. No two days are the same. You'll be involved in retail sales, merchandising, customer service and helping visitors learn more about our salmon and products. Key responsibilities include: Welcoming and serving customers in a warm and professional manner Providing product recommendations and sharing knowledge about our salmon Merchandising and maintaining attractive retail displays Monitoring stock levels and assisting with stock replenishment Ensuring food safety, cleanliness and presentation standards are maintained Contributing to an enjoyable customer experience and a positive staff environment About You We're looking for someone who enjoys working with people and takes pride in delivering exceptional customer service. You'll bring: A genuine passion for customer service A positive, friendly and approachable attitude Strong communication skills Reliability and good time management A willingness to learn and work as part of a team The ability to work independently when required Retail, hospitality or tourism experience is advantageous but not essential Most importantly, we're looking for someone who aligns with our values of Growth, Collaboration and Care .
