Jora New Zealand will close on 9th September 2026. Rodney Surgical Centre – North Shore, North Island Rodney Surgical Centre is a private day stay surgical hospital based in Warkworth. This is a full time permanent role in a fast pace work environment with a lot of multitasking skills required. Key responsibilities: To provide leadership, direction and mentorship to PACU Registered Nurses and Healthcare Assistants, Create and manage PACU team rosters for best utilization of the required and available staff and ensure safe, high quality of patient service delivery, Manage PACU staff performance, development, and training in line with the company strategy and performance goals, To provide safe, effective perioperative and postoperative nursing care, using professional knowledge and skills in accordance with RSC policies and procedures and the Registered Nurse scope of practice, Work in collaboration with other members of the Healthcare team to achieve expected patient outcomes, Manage up to date register of registration practicing certificates expiries for PACU staff, Manage up to date register for PACU equipment maintenance and repairs, ensure regular servicing is completed, identify requirement for new equipment to ensure advance planning and budgeting, Promote workplace H&S, ensure accurate and timely reporting to CEO and implement recommendations for improvement, Order PACU consumables, equipment and controlled drugs and maintain CD register as per audit and health compliance requirements with CEO approval, Assisting CEO with yearly audit and update of PACU related Policies, Processes and Procedures Clear and professional communication with staff, internal, external stakeholders, providers and suppliers at all times, Support CEO with business planning, change management and implementation of various projects and initiatives to achieve desired business sustainability outcomes, Participate in Clinical Board meetings and provide reporting as required, To be successful in this role the candidate : Must be a Registered Nurse (NZRN registered) with at least 5 years’ experience as a Senior PACU Nurse. Have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in management of delivering a healthcare service or similar service-based operation (Tertiary qualification in Nursing, Post graduate education in perioperative nursing and/or Management), Digitally savvy with advanced digital technology and computer systems knowledge, The preferred candidate would be a senior PACU RN with a degree in management or equivalent management experience with a proven track record and ability to maintain strategic and operational view when making decisions.
