Job Description
Jora New Zealand will close on 9th September 2026. Thank you for being with us, we are cheering you on as you continue your career journey. Senior E-commerce & CRO Specialist – Shopify Luxury Orthopaedic Beds Limited – Hamilton, North Island Take ownership of an e-commerce website where your ideas can make a measurable difference. If you love understanding why customers buy, where they hesitate and what makes an e-commerce website convert , this is an opportunity to take real ownership of a growing online retail business. You'll have the freedom to dig deep into customer behaviour, challenge how things are currently done, test new ideas and continually improve the online experience — and see the impact of your work in real sales results. You won't be joining a large corporate environment where great ideas take months to get approved. You'll work directly with the Founder and Managing Director, have access to real customer and sales data, and be encouraged to identify opportunities and turn them into action. Luxury Orthopaedic Beds is a fast-growing New Zealand-owned manufacturer and retailer of premium Orthopaedic beds, trusted by thousands of customers nationwide. Our website is the centre of our business. It is our showroom, our salesperson and one of our most important growth engines. We already have a successful e-commerce business. Now we're looking for an exceptional Senior E-commerce & CRO Specialist to help take it to another level. This is a full-time, on-site position (40 hours per week) based in Hamilton. What you'll do Customer Journey & CRO You'll take ownership of how customers experience and move through our Shopify website — from the moment they arrive through to purchase. You'll continually ask: What's working? What's creating friction? Where are we losing customers? And what should we improve next? You'll: Own and continually improve the end-to-end Shopify customer journey, from landing page and product discovery through to cart, checkout and purchase. Analyse where and why potential customers are dropping out of the buying journey. Identify friction, hesitation and opportunities to make buying easier. Improve website structure, navigation, product pages, landing pages, calls-to-action, trust signals and conversion pathways. Develop evidence-based hypotheses and run A/B tests and other experiments to improve performance. Test and refine layouts, messaging, offers and customer pathways. Build and manage a prioritised CRO roadmap based on customer behaviour, data and commercial opportunity. Measure results and turn successful tests into permanent improvements. Analytics & Customer Behaviour We want someone who loves getting beneath the numbers — understanding not just what customers are doing, but why . You'll: Use GA4, Shopify Analytics, heatmaps, session recordings and funnel analysis to understand customer behaviour. Analyse conversion performance across devices, traffic sources and landing pages. Investigate product-page, add-to-cart, cart and checkout abandonment. Identify recurring patterns in real customer sessions and turn those insights into improvements. Combine quantitative data with customer feedback and other qualitative insights. Turn complex data into clear commercial recommendations and actions. Shopify & UX This isn't a role where you'll simply produce reports and hand them to someone else. We want someone who enjoys turning insights into improvements. You'll: Continually improve our Shopify website and online shopping experience. Create and optimise landing pages and product pages. Improve layouts, navigation, hierarchy and conversion pathways. Confidently make day-to-day Shopify improvements without requiring a developer for every change. Work with developers when more complex functionality is required. Bring strong UX/UI and visual design judgement to every improvement. Ensure the mobile shopping experience is exceptional. Keep up with developments in e-commerce, CRO, UX and Shopify and bring new ideas into the business. About you Your current title might be E-commerce Manager, CRO Specialist, Digital Optimisation Specialist, E-commerce UX Specialist, Growth Optimisation Specialist or Senior Shopify E-commerce Specialist. We're more interested in what you've achieved than what's written on your current business card. You'll likely have: Strong hands-on experience improving e-commerce website performance. A deep understanding of CRO, customer journeys, UX and online buying behaviour. Strong Shopify experience. Strong experience with GA4 and e-commerce analytics. Experience with heatmaps, session recordings and behaviour tools such as Microsoft Clarity, Hotjar or similar. Experience with A/B testing and structured experimentation. Strong UX/UI and mobile-first e-commerce judgement. The ability to identify where customers are dropping out and investigate why . A commercial mindset — you understand that great digital experiences should ultimately improve conversion and grow sales. A proactive, curious approach and the confidence to challenge existing thinking when the data suggests there's a better way. A strong communicator who enjoys collaboration, welcomes feedback and thrives in a small team environment. Happy to roll your sleeves up and help wherever needed—we're a growing business and everyone contributes Ideally, you'll have 4+ years' relevant experience in e-commerce, CRO, digital optimisation or UX , although demonstrated results matter more to us than a specific number of years.Self-motivated, proactive and happy taking ownership of projects from concept through to completion. #J-18808-Ljbffr
